Meghan Losk, Managing Director

Meghan LoskMeghan joined Precedent in February of 2015, enhancing our due diligence, investment operations, and alternative investment consulting capabilities.

Prior to joining Precedent, Meghan was a Managing Director at Freestone Capital Management a Seattle based wealth management firm with over $2 billion in AUM at the time of her departure. She joined Freestone’s client advisory team in 2003 following two years with Pinnacle Financial Group. After 3 years focused primarily on the traditional side of the business, Meghan transitioned to Alternative Investments where she was primarily responsible for implementation and management of a managed account platform, including allocating to emerging managers, as well as creating and overseeing the firms operational due diligence program, investment structuring, investment operations and investor relations.  Meghan has been a member of Executive, Investment and Valuation Committees.  Meghan also served as Freestone’s interim Chief Compliance Officer from June of 2012 through March of 2013 and holds the Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional designation, further supplementing her deep experience working with all types of Alternative Investment offerings including hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate and co-investment funds.  

Meghan is very passionate about alternative investments and is an expert at prudently advising both emerging as well as seasoned managers on the full cycle of investment offerings.  Including offering guidance on the initial set-up and ongoing operational support needed when creating/bringing new investment products to the allocation stage. Meghan has also served as an Independent Monitor deemed “not unacceptable” by the SEC overseeing the wind down of various financial firms following regulatory actions. Meghan earned a BS in Organizational Communications from the University of Portland in 2001 and studied abroad in London.

Meghan has been actively involved in the Seattle Alternative Investment Association since 2010 and currently serves as the President of the organization.
